5 Hours VIP Tour of Tangier
Tangier is a city in Morocco located along the Mediterranean Sea. It is one of the most popular destinations in Africa for travelers from Europe and North America. The name 'Tangier' comes from the Greek word for 'Tinjis', a daughter of the titan Atlas, who was supposed to support the vault of heaven nearby. The city of Tangier is one of the oldest in Africa and a major port. It was founded by the Phoenicians in the 8th century B 12th century as a major trading post with Europe. During the 15th century, the city became an important stopping point for Spanish and Portuguese ships on their way to trade with Africa. After Tangier became a Spanish possession, it became one of their most important ports on the continent.
The city of Tangier is known for its architecture, especially its Kasbahs. A kasbah is an old fortified building that serves as a home for merchants who conducted business with European countries. Tangier is also famous for its seafood and poultry dishes, such as fish cooked in spices and chicken cooked in honey. Additionally, Tangier is known as a religious center; it is home to many mosques and churches that are decorated with beautiful mosaics and art work.

Itinerary:
The most beautiful places we have chosen for you to experience the very best of Tangier:
-
-
The Old city of Tangier :
The Medina, Tangier's main attraction, is a maze of alleys dedicated to both stores and residences. It is surrounded by the walls of a 15th century Portuguese fortress, although most of the buildings are relatively new for a Moroccan medina.
-
The Petit Souk or Petit Socco, also called the Little Souk :
Is one of those places that reflect the essence of the city in which they are located. In this case, this small square in the heart of the medina of Tangier is a must for any visitor who wants to feel the pulse of the city and experience its traditions.
-
The Kasbah of Tangier :
is located in the upper part of the medina. So to visit the Kasbah you have to go to the medina, a small universe full of life, and then walk through the steep alleys to the oldest part. The former citadel is approximately from the 10th century and, in spite of the gradual transformations, still retains more than enough of its original features to take you back in time.
-
Moshe Nahon Synagogue :
Hidden behind an inconspicuous door, the Moshe Nahon Synagogue exposes a splendid and monumental synagogue, typical of synagogues in northern Morocco, considered one of the most beautiful synagogues in Morocco.
-
-
Achakar Beach :
It has extensive sandy areas available for swimmers. This beach has the advantage of being very clean and pleasant to use.
-
Hercules Cave :
The Caves of Hercules are located just 14 kilometers outside Tangier. This cave system, worth visiting for its geological features and mythological meaning, can be visited by people of all ages.
